Festivals Malta – Expanding Your Cultural Horizons!
Festivals Malta is an independent public organisation that falls under the remit of Arts Council Malta, organizes and manages 8 festivals and 5 national holidays, including the culturally enriching Malta International Arts Festival, featuring dynamic installations, dance and musical performances; the eclectic Malta Jazz Festival, an internationally acclaimed event that exhibits authentic Jazz music through Maltese and international artists; the celebration of culture and arts that is Notte Bianca; the initiative to create an all-year round carnival experience funded by the European Union, and the Rock Hub, a nurturing centre for emerging musicians and bands.
The aim of such festivals is to preserve tradition, foster a creative environment, and stimulate cultural awareness through accessible artistic events.
The agency’s vision is to promote Malta as a cultural destination by organizing festivals to engage a more culturally inclined audience seeking such initiatives.
Through the encouragement of cooperation between different artists, events and festivals, Festivals Malta aims to promote artistic and democratic expression, as well as cultural excellence.
